A Sunny Afternoon
What could be better then a sun soaked balcony and copious amounts of your favourite food? Nothing that's what. Sunday afternoon was spent indulging in rich cheeses, chocolate, dips, laying in a wicker chair chatting away with two of my lovely girlfriends.

So it's a lazy Sunday, My two good friends Jess and Kit came over and I made us milk chocolate chip pancakes. We spent a few hours chatting and mucking around with kits new camera. The pan cakes went from perfect round circles to a weird sausage shaped mess, fail.

Wednesday was my friend Christians birthday. We celebrated at a cafe called a bite to eat.It was such a great little place, the room was brimming with old mismatched vintage furniture, heavy old cutlery, clusters of different sized glasses and many more quirky features which gave the whole place a relaxed ambience. If Typo was a cafe this is what it would look like. It was pizza night so we each ordered oddly named pizza's from the menu then sat back chatting. My pizza was called 'Once'. It had marinated lamb, cheese, potato, tomato sauce base, topped with yogurt. It needed a little salt and I wish they had cut it before it landed at the table because we all had to spend a bit of time cutting away at our pizzas. But the lamb was tender and the crust was nice and thin. Every body tucked in and  loved their pizzas. Next we sang Happy Birthday then dived into a rich caramel mud cake. The rest of the night was spent drinking tea, chatting and laughing. We were in stitches when Christian brought out his much loved Beatles cake from last years birthday. Apart from a few webs and baby daddy long leg spiders it looked perfect. All in all a great night out with good friends, good food in a lovely cafe.

Defrosting The Freezer, Man Style

This is my man Andrew, one day after grocery shopping he attempted to put away the frozen foods only to find the freezer resembled a scene out of Narnia. I walked into the kitchen to find him stabbing large chunks of ice with my best kitchen knife. After swapping the knife for and older one and suggesting he also use a rolling pin he was eagerly chipping away like a happy craftsman. It may have been unconventional but it worked. Gotta love a guy for thinking outside the square.

Welcome everyone to Little Boo. Unlike my food blog http://jemjemsfood.blogspot.com/ this blog isn't restricted to cooking and food. Although I thoroughly enjoy writing recipes and all things food related I felt like I wanted to write about other subjects so this blog is my place to do so. This blog will simply document random thoughts, events, loves and dislikes in my little life.
Why the name Little Boo? Well my man Andrew nick-named me Boo four years ago and little refers to my height. Anyway I'm looking forward to creating something fun and I hope you'll enjoy reading it.
